Privacy information for the Mathlume iPhone app.
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Mathlume is designed to help you calculate, scan, and practice mathematics without sending your learning activity to us.
Mathlume does not require or provide a user account.
Mathlume displays banner advertisements supplied by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and the advertisement served, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as device information, IP address, advertising or app-instance identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostics to deliver, measure, prevent fraud in, and improve advertising.
Where required, Mathlume uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request and store your advertising privacy choices before requesting ads. If Google requires privacy options to remain available, an Ad Privacy Choices control appears in Mathlume Settings. Mathlume does not request permission through Apple’s AppTrackingTransparency framework in this version.
For more information about Google’s data practices, see:
Mathlume does not include a separate developer-operated analytics service. Advertising delivery and measurement performed by Google may nevertheless involve the processing described above.
Camera and photo-library access occurs only when you initiate a scan or choose an image. You can deny these permissions and continue using the other features of the app.
Optical character recognition and calculations are processed on your device using Apple platform technology. Images selected for recognition are not uploaded to Mathlume or to a developer-operated server. Mathlume does not persist the selected image after the scan flow.
Calculation and scan history, settings, and practice progress are stored locally on your device. Mathlume does not provide cloud synchronization and does not transmit this learning data to us or use it to select ads. You can clear calculation, scan, and practice history from within the app. Removing the app may remove its locally stored data according to iOS behavior.
If you choose Contact Support, Mathlume prepares an email to support@passmate.jp in an available email application. The email is sent only if you choose to send it. The contents of that message and the technical routing information handled by your email provider are then processed for the purpose of responding to your request.
Mathlume does not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or developer-operated analytics service. Google’s advertising services may process information as described in the Advertising and consent section. A user who contacts support should avoid including unnecessary personal information.
This policy may be updated if Mathlume’s features or practices change. The “Last updated” date will identify the current draft.
